For anyone interested in fasting here is all my goodies, tips, and tricks.

Read the book by Dr. Jason Fung Link HERE  There are lots of ways to fast depending on what your goal is.  As a result, there is a lot of debate on what is considered fasting,  what breaks a fast and how to break a fast.

Fasting for Weight loss!

After about a month of doing KETO I tested the FAT adapted concept and fasted for 6 days.  At the time, I was working as an Intensive Care Nurse and was working 12 hour night shifts while fasted.  Due to the high stress environment, I stopped before I was going to have a long stretch of days to work in a row.

In 2018, I did two 6 day fasts, one 7 day fast and one 10 day fast.   Typically I gained about 5 pounds back after each fast.  I accounted this to water weight from carbs and food and some weight from stool.  I have done intermittent fasting in a various of combinations and some 2 and 3 days fasts.

 

30 Day Water Fast

2019 I completed my 30 day fast. The multivitamin and mineral supplement below for the first few days to help with the hunger pains. Furthermore, mineral drops are placed in my water most of the time whether I am fasting or not. I had water and tea only for the first 10 days then just water afterwards. I did on a couple days have a drink of Dill pickle juice. I would suck on pink salt to help get minerals.

 

Fasting tips and tricks:

Suck on pink himalayan salt

Use vicks vapor rub under your nose if food smells make you cave.

If you need to, have PUR gum.  Made with Xylitol

Have a piece of sugar free hard candy.  Try to limit to 1 per day.

Dill pickle ICE FREEZE?

ALWAYS KEEP BUSY.  Try to plan your fast.   Don’t start a fast when you know you will be somewhere where temptations will be real high.

Be prepared to break your fast. Don’t pig out on food. Carbs = Water. Take it slow. Use a baby spoon or chopsticks and eat a small meal over an hour.
